"we could live in the house if necessary"

Patrick has decided that our house is pretty much complete and that maybe we could stay there at night! :)  ya'll be the judge....I mean I know it's looking AWESOME but looking how the weather is going to start getting cooler I will take the baby apt with HEAT for awhile longer! :)

I cannot wait for everyone to come see it.  The guys cleaned it all up for all the fam that is in town this weekend to see it!!  SO SO NICE!  The house is really beginning to feel like a house...we have windows! and shingles! WAHOO!

Patrick and I are such dorks and I asked him to give "ya'll" a tour so those who will not be up here this week can see it! :)

from across the pond! : )
up close and personal

Ok kids so I am uploading the video to this blog...let's see if this works....TADAA patrick is now a tour guide...he must have learned his skillzz from our cousin Carly (she's a notre dame tour guide)! :)

ok so NEVER MIND...i've been trying to upload video for four days now....I'll figure it out later.

HAPPY HAPPY TURKEY DAY....WE HAVE A LOT TO BLESSED AND THANKFUL FOR THIS YEAR....

Movin on up! :)

I was hanging out at the laundry mat yesterday (oh how I cannot wait to have my burnt orange washer and dryer back) when Patrick called me from our game room!!!  I totally didn't think I heard him correct...get out of town? The second floor???  Yep, our second floor is on and we could walk it!  Here are some night shots from the house!

side view....that is our cute little porch in the bottom left of the pic...just imagine two rocking chairs on it! :)

our stairwell! :) to the right is our den

going upstairs into the game room! :)

from the game room!

Pat and I are heading to our lovely cousin Renee's wedding tonight in Baton Rouge so no updates or posts until Sunday night!  We are going to head over to the house before we leave to just make sure it's all there and will take more pics on Sunday! :)

ya'll have a great weekend!

THE SLAB is POURED and the frame is upon us! :)

hard to believe we can walk on our house!

pat is walking through the utility room right now

WHAT?? is this for real??

walking on the "2nd" floor of our house! :)

awhh view from our front porch

wonders of God....

We feel so blessed and excited to be building our house.  We spent about an hour last night walking the first floor with Katie and Uncle John.   Walter says that the house should be totally framed with a roof by Saturday.  Extremely hard to believe that we will have a "house" by Saturday!  Coming back Sunday from Baton Rouge will be awesome.  We are excited to "show it off" to all our family that will be in Dallas for Thanksgiving.  Pat and I are thinking cocktail hour Friday night! :) I know Aunt Rose will be up next week and will get to see it.  We cannot wait for everyone to come and see it.
Til next time! :)

The Iglinsky's move to 7001 Epworth

So here we go... Patrick and I are super duper stoked to begin building our new house (aka dream house for us) so I thought I would enter into the blog world in order for our houston family to keep up with the progress of the new casa. I love reading others blogs but have absolutely no clue how a blog is created...so bear with me while I learn the ropes. Nina and I spent quite awhile trying to change my fonts and make it all snazzy but it didn't work.

We are hoping to break ground next week. Wahoo! Patrick and I have been trying to pick out everything for the house and yeah I thought I had a pretty good eye and know what I like and what I don't like but yeah....much more difficult than I expected. I liked everything. :) Of course, Patrick and I always love/pick the most expensive. HA! We are working on learning to not have such fabulous taste. :) Yep that's how I am going to look at it!

So I have added pics and will try and add a caption underneath them.

Update on house: The slab was scheduled to be poured this week but mother nature decided that it would bring in a cold front with rain so maybe next week the slab will be poured! :) We are just so excited to see the house beginning that we are cool with whatever! Walter, our construction manager, is awesome and he didn't laugh us out of our meeting with our "wish" list for the house! :)

Enjoy the photos!! :)
